It's an hour well spent in my opinion. At the moment I'm fit and healthy, but this might not always be the case...
I would urge everyone that if you are eligible then please visit your local centre.

I'll always remember Serlet for his hilarious presentation of Mac OS X Tiger at WWDC.. "Redmond, start your photocopiers" :)

I'm not gay, but I take offense to the idea of equating homosexual activity with "sleeping with hookers, and intravenous drug users". Just because someone is gay doesn't mean they sleep around, just like someone who is straight doesn't just sleep around. This is something that you should probably reflect on, in that gay people can be just as likely or not to sleep around and behave in risky ways as straight people can.
Yadmonkey is right. I don't equate it with anything. They are just a category of activities with higher risk of communication of blood communicable diseases. The issue isn't the amount of sex or even the number of partners. The issue is that male to male sex by its very nature has a higher chance of passing on certain diseases than male to female. Risky male to female is also excluded (if you have slept with a prostitute or been in countries with high levels of disease). It's not a moral judgement (if it were surely lesbians would also be blocked from giving). I never implied that gay people sleep around more than anyone else. I also didn't imply that they are more likely to behave in risky ways, I just said that the same act male to male has a higher risk than male to female - a statistical reality that leads to a policy some may feel is bigoted. I'm just pointing out why it's not.

I'm thinking about it: http://cgi.ebay.com/Mac-Plus-canvas-carry-bag-4MB-RAM-System-7-0-etc-/110668597072?pt=Apple_Desktops&hash=item19c45cc750
I already have my prized Macintosh Plus but this one has more RAM and is a little different, but it would look good next to my other Plus and my Classic.

In all fairness.. people need to learn how to read. How in your right mind do you place a bid of over $400 without even READING the description. As much as this is a scam.. the guy deserves to lose the money for being stupid.
Not true! People do not deserve not get screwed because they are ignorant.
Anology: your lawyer gives you advise he knows will cause you to lose money.
Your friends think thats a hoot. They think you "deserve to lose money for being stupid".
You don't deserve to lose money because you don't read a contract.
Not arguing the guy should have read the post more carefully, but lets blame the criminal, not the victim.

Perhaps I missed part of the new Google search feature in the new version of Safari, but isn't there an already-existing (and awesomely functioning :) ) Google searchbar in there? I'm still using Panther with Safari v1.3.2!
The new search feature is not a new Google search feature. I'm pretty sure what they mean is that you can search the text in the current page by typing and have a little find search box come up at the bottom of the window like it does in Firefox (rather than having a floating dialog box for find). One blogger mentioned it would work like spotlight and shade everything else so that the found search terms were highlighted.

Could I get a link to this picture please?
The front end issues will likely continue for most of the season, it seems to be a trait with the bike, not a setup problem.
Sure (http://image.motorcyclistonline.com/f/30803255/122_1103_01_o+valentino_rossi_ducati_marlboro_team_qatar_motogp_test+.JPG.jpg)
Just puzzles me since they had Stoner complaining about it last year too...

No, it's just principle. Some people just need to be "removed" from the world. It's as simple as that. Like if you rape a baby for example, i think you pretty much just stripped yourself of your right to be alive. Euthanize them like a dog, why not? And also, you don't know if some judge 50 years in the future will release them for good behavior and so they can "die in peace".
And what about the person who is accused of raping a baby and is later exonerated? If they are executed then the state has murdered an innocent person, but if they have life in prison then you can make it right. And locking them up in prison for life does remove them from the world as they are never getting out.

If anyone mistakes it for the real mousepointer and is confused for a millisecond, that's the evil intention behind it. Don't know if it will work though.

Draggable tabs is really good news. I like the way things are being gradually improved too. I think Leopard could be a pretty polished OS when we see it.

Please can you clarify your statement about the lack of potential donors?
You already have a few members in this thread who said they're not eligible.

Seriously Macbook Air is lame. Imo there's something in the air refers to TV shows airing on itunes, or some likewise related movie announcement meant to bring some new entertainment to itunes/mac.

2009 Mac Pro Octo 2.26 reporting for duty.
Cool! Just a pity that bigadv has gone on hold under OSX until the a5 core gets ported over.
You should still get some serious points on the normal smp units though.

It's cool, but totally pointless other than being used as a tech demo.
I fully expect that the control will not be fine enough on the layers / brushes, etc to be acceptable for commercial or even personal use. It's hard enough to select and erase layer parts when using a WACOM tablet on a PC or Mac... Now we do the same thing with fingerpaint precision....
There are already quite a few VERY good paint/editing apps on iOS that support layers. And quite a few people doing amazing, precise freehand work. Zoom helps! And touching your work directly removes a creative barrier. Compared to looking one place and moving your hand someplace else (Wacom or mouse; although people adapt well to those too).
Desktops/laptops won’t go away, but the iPad is ALREADY being used for serious production, and that will only grow as multitasking (the new gestures) and file management/sharing (wireless and painless?) catch up. iOS is still young!
The way I look at the iPad for serious creative work is that current apps typically offer 1/4 of the full power of a desktop app... and most of us only use 1/20 of that power anyway! So find the app that has the tools you need... or find several apps! And what makes up for that limited power? Much greater ease and convenience. You’ll still use your desktop Photoshop (etc.) as well, but an iPad in the production mix can be a great tool. (And an iPad plus a ton of great creative apps costs less than many single desktop programs!)
My tiny-screen iPhone already had a role in my creative production work. That will only grow (literally) with a bigger screen!
I’d love to see more offerings from Adobe. (I actually really like Adobe Ideas on iPhone. It’s a vector program of sorts with a paint program UI. Images zoom sharply to any size when exported as PDF.)
