Google don't map the world either - they do the street map images, but if you look at Google Maps you'll see that the actual roads data comes from either Tele Atlas or Navteq. Those two companies sell their map sets to all the sat-nav companies too.

Lets say his girlfriends parents say it's ok for them to sleep in the same room. Also, lets say that you also know that your son is having sex. Lets also say that your son has been going out with this girl for 3 months. So would you let him or not?
i just skimmed through the thread, but as many said, I think your parents should let you and your girlfriend decide (or "one should let the kids decide";)). Just please use condoms.
If they already told you 'no', than I wouldn't go in an all-out war with them, unless you are ready to take off (something you would most likely regret afterward). Consider this is probably very awkward for them too, and I am not sure they would necessarily wanted to be filled in with the details. As long you clear that both of you two are informed and know about precautions and such, that should be enough.
Of course if they are very catholic, this could be an added layer of difficulty, but I am sure they would rather not become grandparents this early, no matter what the priests say.

This second version would incoporate Apple's iChat software and may be dubbed "iChat mobile". According to Wu, Instant Messaging (rather than email) would be the focus of the device.
i think i'm missing something. my cheapo sprint phone text messages. my daughters' phones do. the person sitting next to me at the football game yesterday was IM'g. is the ability to IM something that belongs in the second version of an apple phone? how many new phones lack that ability, as the first version iPhone presumably would? i need a perspective. thanks.

it can be difficult to find the correct info on these older models as compared to the newer macs I have.

That doesn't seem like too much, actually. that's 1GB of storage for 12 million customersI think it is being used to hold media content, not for cloud backup type purposes for individual customers Exactly dukebound85. Reason it isn't a disgrace: The white enclosure apparently was causing trouble with the camera due to light leakage. You would most likely be calling that disgraceful if they had indeed released a 500$ phone with that rather huge flaw, so I guess they can't win.
The camera issue actually only occurred in white iPhones where people bought unofficial knockoff parts to modify their black iPhones. People who were lucky enough to get the few real deal Foxcon parts experienced no issues. However, I do believe that white was delayed because (among economic reasons) the backlight bled through the glass and was very noticeable in dark settings.

Well said. Maybe its time freeware communities such as OpenOffice make a HUGE push of functionality, portability, efficiency, and ability to work with Active Directory & Such to challenge MS.
I thought about that as I wrote it. The main problem is that any application that matters will need to interoperate seamlessly with outlook clients and other exchange servers. It has got to deal with appointments, resources, etc, exactly the same way Outlook does. Since the details of all that is built on a closed platform, it won't be easy. You can try to compensate by interoperating with the open portions of Active Directory, but that wouldn't really be enough.
That said, I really don't think it would be hard to outperform Exchange/Outlook, and you could provide similar functionality in a different way, but the real problem is interoperating.

Bought a AEBS last month. I upgraded from a Linksys G router. My house is around 4-5 thousand sq. ft. Before with my linksys router it reached the master bedroom fine. (Router is located in the opposite corner of the house on the 1st floor). Now i barely get 1 bar or sometimes nothing. Anything i can do besides buying an airport express? I thought these N routers had more range; etc.
