white iphone is ugly late and unnecessary so apple can keep it.. they never made it cause demand was always lower for white ones and the white design look worse on iphone 4 than on 3gs..

Those numbers are sweet but I would like to see a breakdown of each model. Also the market worldwide if im not mistaken is growing at what 10% a year yet Apples desk tops grew at 4%? If so why?

Look... I don't want to be a hater or anything like that but I have a first generation Ipod Touch... I got it as a present for my birth day, a month latter my wife have an Iphone 4 for her birthday so she sold her 3gs that i used to compare with My phone, the nexus One, look guys I need to be honest here, I got FULL Flash in my phone since it came out in the app market , and so far NOT a single problem with it, I remember when Jobs says it is not possible for a mobile device to have flash blah, battery drain, blah, poor performance blah, blah, blah... Dude flash is Awesome on my Android phone! no lag, no battery fast drain fast, no problems!!! do you guys have any tiny little Idea how @$#%^ cool it is going to www.newgrounds.com on my phone!? do you know!? or just playing online games like the ones on www.arcadepod.com? plus most of the apps are free!!! including that pathetic flash converter browser Skyfire that by the way is being in Android app market for like forever already!!! also it is sad that you have to Root (aka jailbroke) to get 20% more "liberty" with your phone! I already "convert" 4 Iphone users to Android at my job (400 plus workers) the rest are just plain envious of what android is capable of!!! without ROOTING!!! ahhh and don't get me starting in what you can do with a Root Android phone... My next Phone will be the Android HTC G2 that once rooted you can "BOST" to the phone to its real power........... 1.4 ghz!!!!!!!!!!!! Apple is smart to file a patent on something that might be "similar" to technology they have developed just to maintain their exclusivity of the technology.
Apple might be filing this just so they can say, haha, Microsoft, you can't produce this because we invented it first....and then Apple moves on to the next big thing without ever producing a product based on the patent.
As far as the trademark stuff goes, it is the same logic. Apple needs to protect as many derivations of the "*Pod" mark in order to make their Pod trademarks even stronger. Apple will probably never produce something with the "doPod" trademark, but any other company thinking about naming their product the "doPod" will think twice before getting into a legal battle with Apple, who has one of the most recognized digital entertainment trademarks in the world.

+1 for TB "Target disk mode"! I am happy they kept FW800 on the newest MBPs though.

Hi Avinash...I was there today at Brea and they handed out approximately 12-15 tickets. While I do not know numbers, the AT&T models were in less quantity than the Verizon and Wifi.

Bin Laden was more than the figurehead of Al Qaeda, he was the money guy�working on fund-raising and logistical support. Bin Laden was never a fighter, in fact some of the Taliban thought very little of him until he proved to be a valuable source of funding and weaponry. Does anyone have an idea of what (if anything) this does that Parallels doesn't? Parallels has done a great job and is really great except for the video acceleration. If someone could figure that out and let us play XP games in OS X I would be one happy guy.

Add a third option, 24" with a 16:10 ratio and a matte option. Easier on the eyes and more vertical space. The 27" was murder on my eyes and I had to sell mine.

All the rest of the stuff (dealing with power outages, internet outages, maintenance, restarts, software updates, etc.) is nonsense. It's what I do normally or would only very remotely occur.
I didn't say it was a BIG deal, just that it may be a factor to consider. Granted, I did lump in "basically anything that could cause your server to not be available when you need it".
I actually do keep all my music on a NAS in my basement so I can access it anywhere. It generally works well. However, sometimes my home internet connection is down and I can't connect. And one problem with my NAS (D-Link DNS-323) is that after a power failure, it doesn't automatically start up again when the power comes back. That has been the cause of many "Grr, why isn't it connecting?" moments for me. It's not a big problem, I just have to remember to go downstairs and turn it on again. And lately I've noticed that instead of spinning up the drive to give me my files, it times out and doesn't let me connect at all. Maybe a firmware upgrade needed?
All I'm saying is, I can see paying $20/year to not have to deal with these kinds of issues.
